Code of Ethics

As a member of the Mi-Ki Association of ETHICAL BREEDERS, I recognize that in order to fulfill my obligations to the Mi-Ki and to my buyers, both my business and my personal life must be governed by honorable standards.  Therefore, I solemnly pledge:

1.  To deal honestly and fairly with buyers and breeders and to avoid misrepresentation of the Mi-Ki.

2.  To place the Mi-Ki's welfare above personal gain.

3.  To honor my commitments to Buyers and fellow Breeders.

4.  To support my Association, it's policies and programs, and to participate as fully as possible in it's activities.

5.  To obey all applicable Federal, State and local laws governing the Mi-Ki care.

6.  To operate my business in such a manner as to reflect honor upon the pet industry with my local community.

7.  To avoid unfair competitive practices, any slander or defamation of my competitors. 

8.  To make any and all puppy sales or breeding arrangements specifically clear in the form of a detailed contract.

9.  To guarantee the health of the Mi-Ki against genetic life threatening diseases for a minimum of two years.

10.  To provide a safe and sanitary environment for all my Mi-Ki.
